Will I be able to upgrade my pledge level or select add-ons after the Kickstarter ends?
Yes! You can upgrade your pledge level through BackerKit and purchase add-ons. To view the available pledge levels and select an upgrade, go to the start page of the survey and look just below the big green button that says Get Started! Just under that big green button, you should see “. . . or switch your pledge level” in smaller type. Click that link to upgrade your pledge level and enjoy great rewards!

How do I get my rewards?
If this is the first MCG Kickstarter that you’ve backed, it’s important to know that we fulfill rewards through our online store—the MCG Shop—which puts you, the backer, in charge of redeeming them. We will notify you by email when it is time to redeem your reward(s). And that point, you can log onto your already existing MCG Shop account (or create an MCG Shop account) and go to your Coupons page, where you’ll see coupon code(s) that make your reward(s) free on the MCG Shop. You then decide when to redeem your rewards, and—if your rewards include physical products—to what address you’d like them shipped.

Wait a minute . . . if you don't need my address in BackerKit, then why did you collect it?
For those of you receiving print products, we’ll collect your shipping shipping address in BackerKit, but we don’t fulfill rewards through BackerKit. We need your shipping address to know in which Country you reside, so we can determine how much inventory (Kickstarter rewards) to send to each of our international fulfillment houses.

I moved. How do I update my address?
Great news! You don’t need to update us on your new address. We fulfill rewards through our online store, the MCG Shop. When you redeem your rewards, you can enter any address you prefer at that time. (Which means, you could even ship rewards to a friend as a gift!)

How long do I have to redeem my Kickstarter rewards?
We guarantee print products will be in stock for you as one of your rewards for up to one year after the product’s release date. (Having said that, we appreciate your support and we want you to enjoy your rewards, so we always strive to fulfill rewards, no matter how long you’ve waited to redeem them.)

International Shipping
If you are a backer or preorder customer residing outside of the United States, you’ll pay for shipping of your rewards when you redeem them. International shipping is expensive. We don’t have any control over that, and we can’t accurately predict what shipping rates will be at the time of fulfillment. Please also be aware that you are responsible for import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees, and that we must comply with international law and cannot mark your reward as a gift or as a zero-value item.

Shipping to the United Kingdom and Europe
Your rewards will be filled by our shipping center in the UK. United Kingdom backers will not pay import duties and taxes. We hope Brexit will not adversely affect the shipping of books from the UK into the EU, but at this time, due to the uncertain situation regarding Brexit, we cannot promise that EU backers won’t pay import duties, taxes, and brokerage fees. You’ll choose between tracked shipping (more expensive, but with a tracking number) and untracked (more affordable, but no tracking) when redeeming your rewards.

BackerKit is a service that crowdfunded project creators use to keep track of hundreds to tens of thousands of backers—from shipping details, pledge levels, preferences and quantities, whether they have paid or had their card declined, special notes, and everything in between!
The BackerKit software and support team is independent from the campaign’s project team—BackerKit does not handle the actual reward shipping. For more information about the preparation or delivery status of your rewards, please check the project's updates page.
How does BackerKit work?
After the campaign ends, the project creator will send you an email with a unique link to your survey. You can check out a walkthrough of the process here.
I never received my invitation. How do I complete the survey?
The most common reasons for not receiving a survey email is that you may be checking an email inbox different from the email address you used to sign up with Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account, or it may be caught in your spam filter.
Confirm that the email address you are searching matches the email address tied to your Kickstarter, Indiegogo, or Tilt Pro account. If that doesn’t work, then try checking your spam, junk or promotions folders. You can also search for "backerkit” in your inbox.
To resend the survey to yourself, visit the project page and input the email address associated with your Kickstarter, Indiegogo or Tilt Pro account.
How do I update my shipping address?
BackerKit allows you to update your shipping address until the shipping addresses are locked by the project creator. To update your address, go back to your BackerKit survey by inputting your email here.
When will my order be shipped, charged or locked?
That is handled directly by the project creator. BackerKit functions independently of the project itself, so we do not have control of their physical shipping timeline. If you want to check on the project’s status, we recommend reading over the project's updates page.
I completed the survey, but haven't received my rewards yet. When will they arrive?
As BackerKit does not actually handle any rewards or shipping, the best way to stay updated on the shipping timeline would be to check out the project's updates page.
